I have this, bought it in 1998, left handed too. Nice mellow sound. Wish it had a cutout.

They are only "free" in that there's no return fee. You have to pay for shipping both ways if you return.

Nope. Not if there's something wrong with it. Could be as simple as "doesn't sound good" or "doesn't play well."

I have returned a guitar to them because I didn't like how it sounded. They didn't question the return.
