I have these exact ones and it lasted me a couple hours on the highest setting. Worked beautifully for my trip to Rome in combination of an umbrella during a heatwave of a week and humidity.. a place where there's not much shade and most places don't have AC. Definitely elevates the coolness when you enter an air conditioned place even more. I like the fitting of these better than the kind I have from amazon which block some of the air at times because of the tighter fitting.

we have these along with some cheapo ones. The airflow on these are much better and this uses USB-C instead of Micro USB. If you can get them in store for under $30 I will buy another pair.

I've tried similar ones in really hot weather like 110 F and all it does is blow the hot air into your face. Maybe in slightly cooler weather this would work but from my experience these were not useful.

It works great indoors and in the shade. In hot weather it doesnt work as well but if you remove it you'll realize its better than nothing.

Shows $32.99 after the $10 off on Instacart. Any Instacart Costco promos?

These neck fans are the new neck pillow fad of yesteryear? (haven't seen those neck pillows shilled here since the fad faded)

4000 mAh is not enough. Got this one with 5200 mAh and it lasts nearly a full 8 hour work day non-stop on the lowest setting.

Bought for $11.99 from a recent SD

I also have a 4000 mAh neck fan and it didn't even last 5.5 hrs

Speaking of Amazon, is this the same one from the deal for $27 or less? https://a.co/d/9XQu805

That's the other one I bought and doesn't last more than 5.5 hrs. Get a 5200 mAh fan

I got the hand-held fans for recent trip to Italy and Greece and those are more versatile IMO. The handle bends and has string to wear around the neck. The bend allows the fan to direct up to the face when worn, or it can sit on a table and point the fan towards you or wherever you like (outdoor dining, in the train, in the hotel at night without AC etc). Just get the higher battery capacity or charge through for long hours of use.

I turn these on when I step out of the sun especially into an air conditioned space. Helps me cool off faster. Otherwise, like you said it's nearly useless out in the sun and heat especially if it's humid. The hands free aspect of this type is nice, but handheld fans that you can direct into your face seem to be more comforting in general.

I bought this a few months ago and mostly use it for doing outside chores like mowing the grass. I find the consistent air blowing in the face refreshing even in hot humid weather. Feels similar to a light breeze which for summer mowing is quite nice.
