A shame it's only m4 (same as Mac mini base) and not m4 pro. This is basically a MacBook Air with active cooling.

Don't forget it has twice the storage in the base model, along with faster charging, a bigger battery, HDMI and SDXC ports, better speakers and MOST IMPORTANTLY a much better display.

Not sure if those things are worth $600 more than the Air that was on sale for $700 a week or two ago on AAFES, but for me they definitely are.

Partially agree. If you are looking MacBook Pro then a MacBook without a Pro processor is definitely not good.
