Do you really want b stock on something that holds water over your components?

I'm very upset that my mITX board is incompatible with this cooler (according to Arctic's website due to m.2 heatsink) since this is the best 280 on the market practically
Can you just not use the boards M2 sink, and buy an aftermarket heat sink?

Is this an upgrade to my phantom spirit se?
Yes and no.

I like AIOs (I'm running one and a custom loop in another), but they can fail and you won't know it until either there's a leak and you short your system or something dies and you overheat and shut down.

All AIOs will eventually fail (the pump mainly)...so maybe 5 years average before you have to start worrying. Your Phantom Spirit will never die, if the fan gives out, put a new one on.

Performance will be the same for both, but the AIO will be quieter (that's why i went with liquid cooling, I can't stand fan noise).

My systems are whisper quiet, no ramp up, no crazy fan speeds ever needed. That's not going to be the case for most using air cooling.

$8 shipping… not bad. I use the freezer 2 version that was a refurb from their eBay store in 2022… still runs 24x7 without any issues.

This seems like a crazy deal. I've purchased b stock fans from Arctic's eBay account and they've come in perfect condition with all the parts/screws just not original packaging. Which I'm fine with.in terms of the aio. I run a 9800X3D and the 280 arctic freezer III. In testing under full load for 10 minutes, I peak at 80 degrees C.
I just spent $100 on the 360 Arctic LF III pro, wish I had waited til this deal. Even the 360 is overkill for me 9800x3d

If you're considering one of these keep in mind that they are THICCC. Make sure your case can fit 68mm of radiator and fans. Standard radiators are about 27mm plus 25mm for the fans.

What does B-stock mean?

I have a Corsair 4000D airflow case that can only fit 2 fans on top so this will fit ok. I want my 3 intake fans in the front. I currently have an air cooled 7800X3D that does ok most of the time but peaks hot occasionally. It has never thermal throttled, however.

Debating giving this a try.

Great deal, but unfortunately they don't have 360s in the sale and the pump block is too large for my mobo's M2 heat sink.

Not sure but my motherboard (asus x670e-i) has the m.2 stacked on top of one and they're both populated. Not sure if removing the heatsink entirely would even give enough clearance for the AIO.

Does it come with thermal paste? My brand new Arctic III 240 from Amazon included paste, but do these refurbished ones also come with paste?

I just bought their Arctic 280mm Pro version for more than twice this price and was very impressed with cable management and general quality of the cooler.
These seem exactly the same with a thinner radiator but that's about it.
I've tried other AIOs and this was the best!
