Update 7/29/25: I ordered this when I posted the deal and have had it a few days now. Note that this is NOT the S version. This is the newer version with mostly better specs than the S type. The only thing that seemed better with the S version was the all metal chassis, but that also makes the S version heavier and it looks less sleek in addition to mostly weaker specs.
- Addressing noted complaints about the model from reviews etc.
- Keyboard: Not perfect but better than all others I tried in this class except for the Lenovo Yoga 7i which I'd say has a keyboard that ties with the ASUS, but with different pros and cons. This ASUS keyboard is very clacky in a good way, average volume/noise level, and with a decent feel everywhere except for a weird hollow feeling in the Enter and backspace keys. Decent key travel and not mushy as I had heard. The keyboard on the Lenovo Yoga 7i didn't feel as good as my old Lenovo, so it doesn't seem to meet their normally good keyboard quality. The Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 keyboard is also not up to Samsung standards and has a metallic feel with very little key travel like an old Motorola Razr phone.
- Screen reflection - The screen is amazing in its color, clarity, brightness, and size. I've tried it under different conditions and haven't had major issues with reflection but it is a glossy screen.
- Webcam - It's fine. Not exceptional, but fine.
- Speakers - They're what you would expect for a thin midrange 2-in-1 where they stuck them on the bottom. They're okay but also not exceptional when in normal laptop mode. When you fold it so that the speakers are no longer pointing down, then they're better.
- Alternatives considered - I wanted the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 since my old Samsung 2-in-1 has been nearly perfect for many years, but paying that much for a laptop with a track record of screen cracks (the whole Galaxy book series it seems) without a drop or hit was not appealing. I considered the Lenovo Yoga 7i, but the screen was terrible and the screen wobble from weak hinges would have driven me insane. Plus, it's unnecessarily heavier. Did not consider HP because I don't generally like them. The LG Gram line sacrifices a lot for weight, so that only seemed worth it if weight is the top priority.
- Overall impression and other notes: Overall this has been a great laptop for the price and the best option in the class for my priorities. There are only two unexpected annoyances that could possibly be blamed on ASUS. The first is that the default settings run the fan a lot even without doing anything demanding. That can be changed easily in settings though, but I've been hesitant until I test the temps more. The second is that the palm rejection on the touchpad isn't aggressive enough, but there are also ways to deal with that in settings. Every other annoyance has been from standard Windows 11 limitations. Recommend to anyone looking for a 16 inch 2-in-1 option currently that balances specs, durability, and cost. Happy hunting.

Absolutely not true. Solid performance and great heat and long battery. You're either mistaking this for a different cpu or just threadcrapping on anything intel.
Comparing Apple M series and X Elite are better ARM efficient cores as low as 11 watts. So low energy its in mobile tablets and mini 5 watt version of soc are in phones. 258v average is 17 watts.
Compared against horrible Intel 13th gen, it untrue.
258v is close to 4 yr old M1 & M2, not M4.
155h/255h are twice the cpu speed at 24 watts , has 15-20 hr battery vs 24 hr on 258v with massive 75 wHr battery. Both use LE core island cuz 86x is so bad.

Apple ultrabook are small form factor, runs Chrome, runs Adobe. Developer Apps.
Runs 90% of what normal people use.
ARM MacOS has 100x more native apps than ARM Windows. And has better x86 emulation.
If this one has the same glossy screen, I would stay away from it if you plan on using anywhere under direct lighting or by a window. It reflects EVERYTHING. I can't stand it. You can get a screen protector, but it will hurt the clarity and to the point where it looks like a 1080p screen. I am returning it to Costco. The backlighting on the keyboard also bothers me, but I could have dealt with that if it had a matte or anti-glare screen.
