What do people think of this mower? Mine busted after like 5 mowings. The bag broke and is discontinued. Very frustrating. I have everything except the bag still but I'm 50/50 on even keeping this thing anymore. It doesn't seem to lift the grass into the bag. My first huge disappointment of a Makita purchase.

I bought this for $249 last year just for the batteries and charger. I haven't used the mower.

Which trimmer? LXT line?
I only see the XGT (40v) on clearance at our store & tool only.
Back to the mower, it's worth looking through the reviews unless you're buying it just for the batteries. And there's been better deals on packages w/ 4 5Ah batteries, like the circular saw last month.

Got mine for this price in Feb last year, and have been using it since. I love it, mostly.

Interestingly, I broke the frame that holds the bag, but I contacted Makita and asked them nicely, and first they sent me a bag (which didn't help), and eventually the frame. Gotta be careful to not push down on the handle when the bag is full, or run over steps, as that stresses the welding points on that frame.

I have a lot of Makita batteries, so no issue there, but 36V is a bit on the weak side if you have a larger lot to mow.

Other than that, yes it has a lot of plastic, but I don't see that as a disadvantage - it reduces the weight of it. Not heavy duty for landscapers or large lots, but good for homeowners.

It mows very well, and sucks up leaves and such as well. The bag fills evenly and tightly and fits a lot of clippings. There are some small Makita tricks that I appreciate, like the interesting bag fill indicator, the easy of rotating the handle, etc. Self propelling takes some of the work out of mowing, I rarely use it though, but will be awesome for going up inclines.

idk about this model specifically. I have an older one, looks like the XML08PT1 but i'm not sure the specific model right now. I got it as a used unit, about 2 years ago. It's at least 3+ years old now. Never had an issue.
