It's just the first few months of the console launch. I don't know of any consoles launching with special editions in the 1st year they're out. Those are usually mad to boost sales around 2 or 3 years in.

That makes zero sense. Why repackage consoles that are already packaged that people are happy to buy? Considering most scalpers would have bought from retailers, and not directly from Nintendo, I don't think it's even possible for Nintendo to recall and repackage any returns.
