I have the otter, which is supposed to be better in almost every way. That said, they both use the same proprietary software, and it is a massive letdown. I would not recommend this unless you're prepared to have 9 practice rounds for every one object you want to scan.

I have no use for this and I don't plan to buy one. However, I found the description incredibly helpful and informative so this deal gets a Thumbs up and the Original Poster gets 400 Rep Points.

How well does this scan 3" long, 3/4" diameter cylindrical objects?

Anyone actually use this? Is it good for small objects or large ones?

Objects small like that don't register on those scanners. It's a bit disappointing but there are a few scanners out there that also come in a smaller form that can work with with such a small object

There is a reason why the example image on the website is a banana.

Doesn't their logo seem like a rip off of CREATIVE?

It's a portmanteau of Create and Reality since they are a 3D printing company

I think he means the logo/wordmark is a ripoff of the old Creative logo (the company behind the old Sound Blaster cards). But repped for using portmanteau in a sentence.
