Can someone explain the pros and cons of using this system as a home backup battery or in place of a generator?

Do I need a professional to install to my panel to use this as my home backup? I usually only lose power for a few hours with bad storms. Just looking for something to bridge those times.

Looks like the 5% (ECOF5) doesn't stack so it shows as $3,749 for me.

The way I'd like to use one (or actually two in parallel) is to be able to hook them up to a transfer switch and charge with a small gas generator as needed, so this would be able to handle the heavy draws and save some gas. You will otherwise need a fairly serious solar setup, as the battery capacity is not much for a whole house setup.

You can install a 30 amp inlet and connect it to your panel box with an interlock kit. I have the unit with 3 batteries and that is enough for me during a power outage. We lost power last week around 7PM until the next morning and I was able to run everything except my stove and dryer. I also have a 10,000 watt generator that I will run in the daytime if the power is out during the day and at night I run the ecoflow

There is a new larger unit called Ocean Pro similar to Teslas powerwall coming out. https://www.zdnet.com/home-and-of...-up-to-90/
