Can someone explain the pros and cons of using this system as a home backup battery or in place of a generator?

Do I need a professional to install to my panel to use this as my home backup? I usually only lose power for a few hours with bad storms. Just looking for something to bridge those times.

Looks like the 5% (ECOF5) doesn't stack so it shows as $3,749 for me.

The way I'd like to use one (or actually two in parallel) is to be able to hook them up to a transfer switch and charge with a small gas generator as needed, so this would be able to handle the heavy draws and save some gas. You will otherwise need a fairly serious solar setup, as the battery capacity is not much for a whole house setup.
