These work well and hold a large bird or ham. We paid about $40 a couple of years ago and were satisfied that it was a good deal at the time. It's well worth it at this price.

Looks like a solid deal. I use these to finish off pork butts for pulled pork. Smoke them for 1-2 hours pop them in a roaster outdoors to avoid heat in the summer and 8 hours later you have delicious pulled pork.
I'm grabbing one to have a spare and to be able to do 4-6 butts at once.

Good price, thanks for posting! Any comments from Airbnb owners on offering it to guests for convenience and efficiency vs. the provided electric range oven?

If I was going to roast a bird I would use my oven. I suppose if my oven didn't work, then I would have a use for this? Unless like that one poster you're just trying to get the heat outside.., or maybe if you cook a lot of meats of 18 quarts at the same time.

Judge me all you want but I like to cook ribs in the oven and finish on the grill. I use one of these outside next to the grill for that purpose. honestly I've never used it for anything else though I just use my oven

Try a pressure cooker for ribs, only 15 minutes, then finish on the grill. Just a thought.

I use the this type of roaster every thanksgiving. It frees up the oven to cook all the sides. The turkey comes out moist and juicy, although it doesn't brown as well as in the oven.

I bought this roaster and it is way to big for my kitchen, lol. I did cook a roast in it and it came out pretty good but I'm going to have to give it away because it's just too big.

I sure wish I had this a couple of weeks ago. Our oven just died while baking bread pudding for a party. The bread pudding didn't get baked properly as the oven heated initially heated but wouldn't re-start so just the initial heat from preheating. It never occurred to me to use an electric roaster as a backup. At this price, even though I already have an old beat up one, I'm buying one of these.

They have a lot of uses, not just turkey. Finishing BBQ for example, they work really well for finishing and holding BBQ, or just party size batches of food.
