I have two of these for the kids to play Steam Deck couch mutliplayer and they're great, though I'm using the 2.4ghz dongles (I'm annoyed it needs to be 1 dongle per controller, they can't consolidate to a single dongle).
It also bothers me that I have an older 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth with the charging dock and these new ones don't have the recharging dock contacts, so they have to be plugged in manually. Not a dealbreaker on an otherwise excellent deal, but annoying that they don't have that great feature.
Would still buy these again for the price and quality.
Make sure you update the firmware on these or you'll get annoying disconnects. You need to download their "ultimate software 2" or whatever it's called, and make sure you have the wireless dongle plugged in. Lucky I keep a windows PC for such things, but keep that in mind if all you have is a tablet, a Mac, or you run Linux on your PC.
Does anyone have any issues connecting multiple controllers to a Windows PC? I'm running the latest Windows 11
Zero connection issues with Windows or Linux. Just make sure you update the firmware for the controller and the dongle when you get them. Which, as a poster mentioned above, requires their Windows program.
