negative, that date is 3 years after manufacture and means they should be inspected to see if they've been stored well. if you'll look at that orange sticker, it's a time/temperature indicator. so long as the middle dot is not darker than the outside ring, they should be perfectly fine to eat. (and some people eat them well past that and don't die)

As others have said, no. It is intended as a "reminder" for quartermasters to inspect them for any sort of damage in order to force rotation.
I have regularly eaten 15 year-old MREs, with never, ever even a hint of a problem. But I store them in the cool basement. Do not ever store them in an attic or garage - heat and time are the enemy. They are OK in high heat for a very short period of time, or low temperature for a very long period of time.
Speaking of low temperature, freezing is not a good thing. The crystals of the ice tend to make little daggers that pierce the container that causes spoilage in a couple of days after it thaws.

case A and case B each have 12 different menus for a total of 24. you can find the menu pretty easily with a search for "2022 mre menu" but as an example, menu #1 has chili with beans as your entree, vegetable crackers, cheddar cheese spread, cornbread, pepperoni cheese filled crackers, grape beverage powder, spoon, heater and accessory packet.

Great for camping, outdoor hiking, and other outdoor activities, emergency situations...pack a few, eat it cold, eat it warm. Some people hold onto these for years ....waiting for the apocalypse to come. I'd put a self life around 10 years at least without dying.

This is an amazing deal for hiking/camping. Self heating entrees can be $10 or more on their own for outdoors-targeted food.

Are these just the entrees, or are extras (e.g., drink mix, gum, coffee, etc.) included?
Edit: I see that someone already answered and that these come with accessories.
