Verizon is trying to nuke the 60 day rule right now. Everyone should file an FCC comment reply by July 21 to push back: https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/...you_to_do/ - This article says the window has expired, but if you post a comment as a "reply to other comments" (it is on the FCC comment form under comment type) they will still field it.

I got Motorola Edge (2024) from total wireless 8 months ago and it was automatically unlocked after 60 days.

This is a different phone from the April deal. That deal was for the 2025 version. This is the older 2024 version.

Odd. No idea why that was considered a good deal when the 2025 version was $165.

$55 matters. True Slickdealer will look for every penny.

Just a heads up. While it is carrier unlocked after 60 days, ATT postpaid won't allow this model on their network. I'm ticked. There is no technical reason, just that ATT are pricks. Also, total wireless service sucks for me.

I got this 2024 Razr on the previous deal for $150. Activated on 5/10 with GV # and it unlocked automatically yesterday, 7/9, just as my Total Wireless service was expiring. I am taking a break from my Pixel and using the Razr with my main SIM and it's working fine.
To check the lock status on the Razr, go to Settings -> About phone -> Device details -> Network Lock, or just search for "network lock" in settings.

Will it work on T-Mobile afterwards?

Where did you get that information? Please post the link to AT&T policy
Presumably it's this document: https://www.att.com/scmsassets/su...etwork.pdf

If a model isn't listed, then it won't work on their network. I have no experience with this phone, I'm just relaying this info.

Does anyone know if Total Wireless limits the number of promotional phones on an account? I got in on the iPhone 14 and Edge deals earlier this year and didn't pay for second month and they both unlocked on time. So wondering if I'm able to get this Razr deal.

Also, does Tello number work for port-in?

Is this phone Dual SIM? Does it support eSIM?
I know the Razr+ supports eSIM, but I am not sure about this model.

Also, has anyone experienced issues using Google Voice on Motorola phones? I have used GV on both the Moto Edge+ 2022 and Moto Edge 2024, and on both devices, I get poor connection and disconnection; people on the other end can barely hear me. GV worked fine before unlocking the phones, but the quality dropped noticeably after the 60-day unlock period.

I now use a OnePlus (with no carrier service) for all my GV calls and have no issues at all. The only downside is that GV does not work in flight mode on the OnePlus, while it does on the Motorola Edge—but with the same poor connection issue. Any ideas or fixes?

I use GV and just yesterday set it up on my 2024 Moto G Power and it's VERY laggy with sending text and the connection has dropped a few times. It's now unlocked so will FB Marketplace the phone. Never had any issues with any other brands of Androids or iPhones.

Honestly not a bad deal, The Razr 2025 model was on sale for $165 but it's basically the same as the 2024 model. The only notable changes between the models include a ~5% increase in performance, slightly larger battery, and improved hinge design. I'd say go for this deal since the Razr 2025 model probably won't go on sale anytime soon

What happens when you pop att sim in the device?
If it's like Cricket(ATT), you get a notification warning to remove it. Continue to use and service is suspended.

Then a call to customer service is required to restore service on a compatible(white listed) phone.

Don't want to transfer my number YET. Any way to get this deal without transferring a number or rather a work around??

my pixel 6a is essentially in a slow death after the battery nerfing update so for the $100 they gave me it basically pays for this. I am curious enough for this price to see how I feel about it
