I believe this will drop down in price more now that the watch 8 is out. Also keep in mind the battery life on this is nowhere than 36 hours. The watch battery on this is terribly horrible with the chipset in the watch.

False. I had 40mm and it was bad and returned it and got 44mm. 44mm with AOD easily lasts 2 full days, power battery mode, easy 3 days. Turn it off before bed, 5 days guaranteed.

But... using it for sleep monitoring and health is a big feature set. But otherwise sounds great

The mm here is not the screen it's the housing. The 44m has the same 1.5" screen that the 47mm 6 classic, and 46mm galaxy watch ultra.

Correct. The overall watch size is larger which is what i meant. Plus, I prefer the rotating bezel. I guess I'm just used to my old Galaxy watch. lol

I mean there are infinite variables. Including the health of the battery, the age of the device, the software services used, the quality of your LTE or Wi-Fi signal it's in perfectly possible for someone to be satisfied with the battery while another person is dissatisfied. Even at its best Samsung Apple and Google just don't prioritize battery life very much. They're fine with people having to charge these things roughly every night. Maybe every other night if you're lucky. OnePlus and movboi use a combination of co-processors and dual screen technology into radically extend the battery life out to four to six days but those lack in their own ways. OnePlus watch is much more generic looking and Samsung and Google have much better voice to text recorders.
