Thought these were rechargeable at first, which would've made these an amazing deal.

Especially given the HD Husky lifetime warranty, it begs the question why you'd bother spending considerably more on Harbor Freights somewhat similar ICON lights.

These look great. The fact that they are not rechargable, IMO is a plus. I've switched to rechargable lithium batteries. If a battery fails, I just have to replace the battery instead of the device. Less stuff that ends up in the landfill.

In for a few. Can never have too many flashlights.

What is the main purpose for these? Are they used as a flashlight or a stationary light?

These are great work lights with a strong magnet. Bought these last year and in hurricane season they are great and have great run time on the batteries.

I have the 1000 lumen version. It's great. Decided to grab these. Anyone know of a tripod that they screw onto?

I like these with separate batteries so I can out in NiMh or Lithium for car storage.

I'd say best use case would portable, aimable worknights. For example, they are good for mounting against the underside of a hood when you are working on an engine. You could also use them around a campsite but they are so blinding and lack any long distance 'throw' you'd way to point them AWAY from you to indirectly light your area....or blind unwelcome campers

I bought a 4 pack of these (what I assume were the same but a slightly different generation), they are pretty rugged, I've had several in my truck tool box for 5+ years and they are still going strong / not broken even being knocked around, facing sub 0F and plus 110F days, etc.
Edit: I've also used them (zip tied because the magnet isn't that strong) to my zero turn mower for redneck headlights

Would these work good to light up inside a 13' pop-up tent? Maybe, hang on the cross supports and pointing light upward?

These run on AA batteries. Junk.
its better that way you dude. Just buy rechargeable batteries and you're good. Rather deal with rechargeable batteries in 5 years than dealing with having to find batteries for these 2 lights.

Appealing to my history of changing water pumps in store parking lots in the dark ... well played, OP.

This looks like it might work nicely outside in the patio when I'm grilling in the dark. '
