In my experience, it's hit or miss. Have gotten some stale ones, but some have been fresh/crunchy with expirations dates at least one month from the arrival date. I've never gotten a variety pack on a deal like this where every individual bag was stale. Still, though... buyer beware (or at least forewarned).

I usually get at least a few stale bags in every box when bought from Amazon. Stale Cheetos are something other-worldly; they taste like what I imagine alien snacks would taste like: artificial in a very indescribable and unnerving way. Imagine doing something that isn't necessarily taboo, but just feels completely *wrong*, like of eating a dinner in your bathroom sitting on the toilet with a placemat and a fork and knife and a napkin and everything. It just makes you shudder for some reason. That is the experience of opening a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos and attempting to eat one and realizing it is stale as you chew it.
