Per previous slickdeals discussions, it appears Nintendo of America will not honor the warranty on international models even if they were purchased in the US.

I agree with him. Why buy something that's only going to get 1 more year...at Best ...of support. And none of the big games after Metroid will come to Switch 1. I wouldn't invest in a switch 1 now...no matter how cheap it is.

Oh so just simply spend double the amount of money for a overpriced console that has a worse screen and only has only a handful of DECENT games? Lmfao nobody wants the switch 2. So many in stock where I live.

Owning the Switch 2 since launch, I say don't bother with this and just put that 250 towards a switch 2. The way it runs Switch 1 games alone is worth it. Everything is at least stable running and many games are fully enhanced just by the power of the system, without a patch. Some even run at full on 60fps and look better, like Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition. Lots of games have patches already and many more will be coming. The Switch 2 is actually quite a powerful system! I am impressed and going back to Switch 1 isn't feasible, with very few exceptions. There is a huge library of games for switch I just couldn't bear to play because of horrible unstable frame rates. I was pretty excited once I started testing out those games on the Switch 2. If you can get one definitely do it.

Lol, where do you live? There are none in stock here (Detroit area), nor have there been.

Yeah, if you don't have a Switch I would get a Switch 2.

If you already have a Switch 1, I would wait until the next model of the Switch 2 comes out. Or at least until there are more games

The screen is fine. Cut the BS. You haven't played on one. I play it every day. It's fine and a total non issue. And yes, it's worth double the price of this because of how much better it plays everything. You don't have to cry about it.

Especially when the new one plays virtually everything from switch 1 so much better. Those games are more valuable now because they are actually stable and can be fully enjoyed. I struggled with a lot of Switch games because of the frame rates. I'm now enjoying those games, many of which I bought and never played BECAUSE of those issues that are now fixed by the Switch 2.

I upvoted but for an 8 year old gaming system and an 11 year old game. This should be the standard price

Yes. As long as your eShop region is set to your correct country where your DLCs were purchased, you'll be fine. If you switch and buy a DLC from the eShop of another region, it is not guaranteed to work in your country, unless you keep it set in that same region.

This is about the Switch Oled International deal, not the Switch 2 or its benefits/lack of benefits. Please stay on topic to the deal.
