It's wireless. The gray g8 is usbc.

One of the best controllers to have. Works with pretty much any device and it has hall-effect sticks, so it's drift proof.

It doesn't support Xinput, even though it has an Xbox configuration. Windows sees it as a PlayStation controller, but it doesn't include PlayStation buttons.

Absolutely THE best controller I've used for mobile devices. Worth every penny at full price IMO.

Looking for $50 or less on the usb-c (non-Bluetooth) G8 so I don't have to charge controller or deal with any extra input lag. Although not sure it'll fit my phone with its case on.

Got mine, so far it's great. The buttons take getting used to, a little cramped if you're coming from an Xbox or similar. Cool to have the back buttons to program. Software is decent too. My son tried it on his phone said he loved it playing fortnite, 11 kills first use.

Amazing product and truly a SLICK deal! G8+ is primarily used via Bluetooth (can be used wired for PC) and paired with XBPlay, Steam Link, and/or the PS equivalent, it becomes an at-home powerhouse and access to huge library of cloud games on the go. Doesn't quite replace a handheld like Steam Deck, but it's not super far away either

Gripes include no X Input (don't expect to use natively with Xbox) and no pass through charging while using (sides can pop apart and charge via contacts when controller is closed, so it's a good trade off to fit larger screens)

Overall this is the best value of any controller out there IMO. It can replace Switch controllers if that's important to you and doesn't feel too bulky/heavy if you're using it as standalone controller - I'd pick up my GameSir Cyclone 2 over the G8+ in that case, unless it's out of reach XD
