No one who plays pickleball seriously has heard of Warping point. These are many reviews on line for Friday paddles, just search on line. The Friday paddles always get good reviews from reputable sources. Right now the original Friday paddle in the summer heat design is only $44, which is an excellent deal for a quality paddle.

I got the grasp version a couple of months ago for 25 USD and it's very good.
I don't think we might see it for that price again but it feels very premium in hand and great for spin. The paddle cover is great too

If you are starting to get serious about the game but don't want to jump into the big brands, these paddles will suffice. If you are actually swinging closed to open position instead of scooping the ball, then you would probably be ready for this level of paddle. You should be able to make consistent contact, understanding various spins coming at you and reading the trajectory, starting to have an interest in putting spin on a ball (top, slice, dink etc.). These paddles are probably good enough. Only downside would be being able to replicate the paddle/brand if you ever want to recommend or grab another one.

Friday Paddle is also a good and consistent paddle. Slightly more expensive but fun styles and a range of products.

If you are still a beginner the cheap beginner sets are fine. <$12 a paddle.

PM me if you want recommendations or suggestions based on your play style.

Friday Originals are a gen 1 paddle with a grit surface.
Ascent is a knock off of the selkirk Invikta Power Air Series ($150) which also uses a spray on grit surface.
Grasp is a gen2 T700 carbon face. More comparable to the Friday Challenger ($67) or VaticPro ($100).

Both these paddles are cheaper than the commonly seen "budget minded" Friday or Vatic. Dont expect any support, customer service, warranty.

Ive seen people with play with the Ascent. You do get partially judged by the paddle you play with. Certain people wont play with you because they assume your budget paddle = you are a beginner. Who cares, get out there and have fun.

If you are good enough, you will figure out any paddle and adjust accordingly.

PM me if you want any recommendations.

The reviewers sponsored by the brand Friday are posting fake reviews for other brands everywhere. It's really annoying and disgusting.

Is this paddle better than the set sold at costco.com? I started playing pickleball 3 months ago. I was told that I have picked up the game quicker than most since I played ping pong in the past. Here is what I bought.

Grasp or ascent at <$40 was pretty good. Id pay the extra couple of bucks to get to the next level of features above the SLK ones. The grasp would hold you over until you are ready to get real serious $100-250$ or be proud of the brand of paddle you are playing with.

How about the Joola one that someone mentioned in the above comment? Would the Joola be an upgrade to one at costco?
