The HD6xx are often considered to be some of the greatest headphones on the market (depending on tastes). They are a significant step up from HD599

Ive heard great things about the HD6xx.. And money to value ratio, one of the best.

Though imma hold off an wait for the HD490 pro plus goes on sale. The 490s are a better headphones for gaming FPS

Anyways, if anyone wants a good headphones for starting in the audiophile world, i suggest you buy the hd6xx :3

Does anyone know how this compares to the HD599's? Is it worth the upgrade?

What qualifies your suggestion on the 6xx if you haven't even heard them?

I got these in 2019 for around the same price and they've been my daily driver with a Schiit stack for 6 years, still going strong. I had to replace the cable about a year ago but other than that, no issues. This is the best price to snag them.

For music, I have the Audeze LCD 2, but need to repair them. For gaming, I have Sennheiser 363D.

I don't need more headphones, but it's tempting anyway, though these need a mic added to game.

1. I have used them for a bit of time (the 6xx), and i prefer the 490s for gaming FPS
2. Almost anyone and everyone has something to say about the 6xx in the audiophile world. A lot of youtube vids have been made about it

also, i used bad english, the 490s are better for fps gaming than the 6xxs. I think my prev statement was confusing
