I still have a couple of fully functional Chromecast Audios I'm using with older AV receivers. Would this really improve anything over those? maybe a higher end DAC? I would have to donate my old Harmon Kardan and Pioneer receivers 😀

Maybe. Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz apparently stream at higher but rates to WiiM than they do CCA. And the DAC is meant to be better, particularly on the WiiM Amp Pro. But based on this 60-year old's ears, the difference wasn't noticable, and I returned and stuck with my CCAs.

Sigh. Google Chromecast cast audio pucks where only like $30 each. This is great, but we really need something as simple as cca used to be. Why Google, why??
