I personally bought a single black one that had the 30% Amazon resale discount $13.13 + tax earlier to replace one of my gen1 UWB SmartTags I wanna get rid of.
That said, "Find Hub" still lacks a major feature which alerts you when you've left something behind, which Apple and I believe Samsung both support.
But for tracking I've actually found Googles "Find Hub" to work just as well as Apple if not better, especially since Android represents around 72% of the global market share.

I agree with this. There is no need to go with Samsung and hope that someone with a Samsung phone goes by your device. A Google tracker or an air tag (if you have an iPhone) would be much better. If you travel internationally you are probably better off with the Google tracker since more people use it but in the US it is closer to 50/50 with a slight edge to apple.
I'm still doing my research on those. I have been using air tags for a couple of years with my other phone but want to get Google ones so I can track my stuff with my main phone. I'm seeing some cheap ones on Amazon ($26 for a pack of 4) but don't know if they have any issues or not.
