Roughly the same. If you have the XM5, then no need to get these. If you don't have any noise cancelling headphones, either one will make you happy to not hear a crying baby on the plane when you are listening to either music or movies with it.

for this price, the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 destroy Bose & Sony in terms of build quality & sound quality, & they have sufficient ANC almost as good. The XM5s are also about $100 more expensive than this on sale, and there is a whole Reddit group about the hinges breaking from normal/light use.

How much of a difference and is it worth it compared to the newer Ultra model? I still see $449 for the Ultra on Amazon. I wonder if they'll have a significant discount for the Ultra's during Prime days.
