I've used the previous 2 versions of these from TP-Link and tried a GLinet device for my travel needs. The TP-Link was easier to set up, simpler to manage (based on connection requirements) and fewer anomalies to contend with.I recently updated to this TL-WR1502X and ZERO complaints (it does exactly what it's marketed to do, no confusion, no convoluted settings, no problems). Worth every penny.NOTE: I travel regularly for work and find myself connecting to many different networks, different hotels, etc. I turn it on, connect via the smartphone app, click a few buttons and blammo, I'm on Hilton, Marriot and Hyatt networks in less than 1 min. Easier than easy.

Probably not if you'll only use it a few times a year.

I've used both and within a hotel suite, the tp-link works as well as the Beryl. I do like the toggle on the Beryl to quickly turn on/off VPN.

I have one that I use as a wired access point. It sometimes struggles to connect to the internet. It takes a few reboots. with a wired connection! Every other device connects fine. So beware if that is your intended use. Yes, latest firmware and all that.
