It has connections that allow it to be hardwired. It requires the battery to be installed for this work as it runs off the battery and hardwiring it just keeps the battery charged. So as long as the solar panel can put out the correct voltage/amps it shouldn't be an issue.
From Eufy's site:
"Note: Wired mode requires the battery to be installed and a power source power should be connected with 8 to 24V and >10VA."

I just ordered this for my home, so not totally sure about what kind of delay to expect. But I do have a Eufy camera above my garage door and it alerts almost instantly. This will run off the battery only, you'll just need to recharge every so often. As far as mounting this, it does come with some plastic anchors with the mounting screws that should work for concrete/brick. That's how I plan to mount mine.
I had a wired Google Nest before, and I had the same issue when the Nest's internal battery started to go. The Eufy's battery is fully charged and hard wired
