I like these boxed black otters better than the 3 port 72w version. Nice size. Attractive style. Grippy exterior. No excessive heat. Low idle power consumption. True 60w output. Does not get blazing hot. More than a month's workout continuously charging MacBook, Chromebook with 45 watt phones no problem. Eco plastic-free award style storage packaging. Buying more for gifts.

Good deal, I was waiting for this to come back in stock so I could grab it for my next work trip.

Unfortunately, they'll arrive after I leave :/

Good news is I can give these to the kids to put in their backpacks for their school laptops! Smilie

This is a decent deal for a relatively compact PPS charger. At 5.2 in^3, it's the same volume as Anker's 100W GaN Prime, and 6% larger than Anker's 67W Prime.

Anker Prime volume comparison:
* 67W: 4.70 in^3
* 100W: 5.20 in^3

I haven't used the Anker Prime or Otterbox chargers, but my other chargers (older Baseus 2C1A GaN, prob 90% efficient) get really hot. Bleeding edge premium chargers are typically >95% efficient. I assume any modern PPS charger is >95% efficient, and hopefully that keeps heat generation low.

I'm sure there's some optimization between charger shape, efficiency, and surface area for dissipation to minimize heat retention. Still, hard to find PPS charging at such a high wattage in a charger at this price. I bought a couple, even though I'm definitely not short on chargers.

I got the 3 port 72w version recently. While they seem to work fine, the prongs seem a bit long. They don't sit well in several of my power strips. Seem fine in walls, though. Do these have the same issue?

I purchased a few of this model the last time, I didn't notice such a situation.

NEMA 1-15 standard has probably been around for nearly 100 years, no reason for a manufacturer to get the blade length wrong.

Tho woot is now a dumping ground for Amazon. Did you get that one from woot?

Edit: maybe your power strips are the problem if you don't experience it in wall receptacles.

I did get them from Woot. And it well might be the power strip. I tried in two, and they might well be the exact same brand. It's just strange that none of my other plugs have this issue in the same power strips.

I got the 72w model last time, while I haven't opened it yet. I don't see how this is different in the way you claim. They both are GaN so no excessive heat. Both out put the same watt except the 3 port has an ADDITIONAL 12w USB-A. Both grippy exterior and style! I'm not sure what I'm missing here!

I ordered all 3 different models (single port, two ports, and 3 ports) and kept 3 ports ones and I gave away all others. No issue charging my MacBook air, LG Gram, and all smartphones.

Solid charger compared to Anker, and other no name brands. I can't tell much difference compared to Anker 3 port chargers.

Good to know. I read the description last time around and thought the 72w model was the right choice for a couple dollars more! Got 3 for $33. Great deal.

Yes I found the same thing. Mine fall out of plugs on airplanes and trains which is extremely annoying. They also fall out of furniture that has built in power strips (like in hotel rooms). Not just a one off - all of mine that are this model do this. Very odd as I've never seen this before with any other plug.

They seem to stay in regular wall outlets okay if you plug them in directly.

I bought the 3-pack for $30 last time. I only knew OtterBox as a well known brand for phone cases, but not chargers. I took a chance based on their good reputation on phone cases. I'm very happy with my purchase so far, even though I've only had them for about 2 months. Looks and feels premium. Excellent packaging. Compact size. Very comparable to the 2-pack Anker I got from Costco. Compatible with Samsung super fast charging. $10 for a 60W charger from a known brand is a pretty good deal to me. I'd definitely recommend this. Not a techie guy. Just an average consumer giving his honest opinion. 😊

A preference for size color and form factor is not a claim. Dock at the seaport on either model and obtain identical 60w charging performance. Both have the same grippy texture. Note that the USB Type A port is somewhat hamstrung with only 5v available and no QC.

Enjoy your 72w. After 5 weeks of torture testing I've seen no issues other than that it intermittently kicks off my USB A desk lamp during port negotiation because that lamp is designed to require a button press ever time it is connected to power. Power interruption from port negotiation is faster than many other USB power supplies.

The 72w weighs 123 g. It has vertical movement even in a hospital grade wall receptacle. Not a deal breaker just a bit annoying. Silver face and white body may show wear faster. It's USB Type A port is limited to only 5v , no QC.

The 60w weighs 106 g and does not have the floppy feel in the wall outlet.

The 30w Premium Pro Fast PPS GaN cube is $8.50. I'd like to test it. Note that it lacks the 21v in PPS found in the 60w and required by some phones for ultra-fast charging. But it does have PPS 3.3v-11v 3A and und up to 16v PPS@2 A. It's C-PD profile is 3v/9v 3A, 12v 2.5A , 15v 2A, 20v 1.5 A covering more applications than found in many other 30w cubes.

If power interruption from port negotiation is an issue then using dedicated 30-45w cubes is the solution. Life will be longer too thanks to better heat dissipation. The USB Type A adapter can then be precisely matched to the device. For low wattage devices it can be tiny.

Why do these keep going on sale for the same price. Wonder if there's any issue with the product.
