It's okay for short throw needs but 200 lumens is not that bright for seeing down a dark road or hiking. I live near a wooded area and use a few much brighter headlamps for taking out the trash or walking dogs at night.

I just looked, my energizer is a 400 and my kobalt is 850.

Any pair of rechargeable headlamps at that price isn't bad.
Noticed one review that makes it a no-go for me. Only one button, and every time you turn it on you have to cycle through Red, then comes bright - medium - dim White. Annoying. Red, since seldom used, should come last!

I bought a pair of these guys last year and, assuming they're still shipping out the exact same thing, micro usb. Biggest downside to them as far as I'm concerned.

The set I purchased last year cycle bright, medium, red. The listing does show I purchased the same item last year, but they may have changed the model since then, I suppose.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... these things are garbage. Don't waste your money buying these things they last about a half an hour on a full charge and take like 4 hours to charge up. I could light my bic lighter and yet just about as much light as these things throw off of that. put in five more bucks and get a much better headlamp elsewhere.

Yeah but the bic lighter gets hot and burns your thumb and house down

I personally prefer the ones that use AAA and other replaceable batteries than rechargeables. Those make more sense for infrequent but long duration use cases.
