If you can get past the micro USB charging port. It seems like nowadays folks can't handle the directional up/down nature of micro USB connection and destroy them in the process. It's not like a phone that you have to charge almost daily.
These are driven by two soldered-in 18650 lithium batteries which gives this a good brightness and runtime. There is a cooler white, brighter mode and a warmer white mode, which can be combined. They can be step-less dimmed. Top can be removed to use it more as a whole-room or upside down light than a lantern.
Definitely a big step up from the cheapo 2 AA or D driven contraptions.

Yes, it's microUSB, but most of us still remember and have them so they're not that big of a deal.
imo USB-C is a bigger issue as there are issues with charging certain devices on high-output USB-C cables that aren't compatible. With MicroUSB you just have to make sure the ends match - same with USB-A, and how difficult is that?
