As someone who clicked the link, there is an option on the same product page for HomeKit for $21.99.

Very few IoT devices support 5 GHz.

Sreeves3 I'd be surprised if your router doesn't support 2.4Ghz, most (every one I've seen) 5Ghz are dual mode....it's really the setup that throws dual band routers and IOT.
I have a google wifi that chokes on just about every 2.4Ghz IOT devices during setup, but if you have an older phone that only supports 2.4Ghz, it bypasses those issues. Once everything is setup I don't have any issues and have multiple 2.4Ghz IOT devices on the network. I can't guarantee the same success for you, but I've got an eclectic mix of 2.4Ghz (Merkury, Wemo, MagicLight etc) peacefully coexisting in the google home app.
Might be an option if you have an older android or an iphone 4 or earlier.

The Matter compatible ones are a bit more expensive, but more future proof IMO

once you've gotten too many of these, you wish you had zigbee ones instead.

The coupon only works once. However, I switched to my other adult account to use it again. Remember, one Amazon account can have two adults share it.

Why? Currently have 7 installed no issues yet.
