Is this better than Costco which is $299 after $100 off? What's the difference?

These blenders spin at a very fast rate. They can blend things to an extremely fine and silky smooth texture. They can even heat liquids by friction from spinning. Hot chocolate, soups.

For people who are spinning money as fast as this blender. Good luck!

If you genuinely need to ask that question... Seek medical attention immediately.

Costco has one for $319 after $80 manufacturer discount right now.
I ordered that instead.

so the answer is "nothing" then, just clarifying.

Today I roasted some tomatoes and shallots and garlic and threw it in this blender with some olive oil and and made a truly delicious pasta sauce with very low effort. You want to talk something with the power to do bisque or a really good smoothie, you simply cannot use a nutribullet to get this level of performance. Stronger motors, blades, and great product support. Not everyone needs a vitamix, but if you do...you will not regret it. Not everyone needs an f350 with a country lift, but if you plan on running it to 400k miles and doing farm work, you invest. This is quality equipment worth the investment if you are that kind of chef or a home cook with dreams.

I thought this too, until I got a vitamix. Now I pity people who have not experienced a proper blender.

I haven't researched this model but the cheap ones tend to burn out and overheat after 1-2 minutes of continuous run time. Plastic gears as well and then of course warranty. If you're blending smoothies it's not for you. If you make a lot of nut butters, soups, sauces, etc then the amount of times you'd replace a cheaper one, you'd already have spent on this.
Usually, if you don't know why, it's not for you.

the blender blends things such as salsa and green sauces, which are prone to overheating or becoming foamy, extremely well. the parts are all easily bought and replaceable, which is something to say towards the longevity of the unit. It also doesn't BLAST everything like other blenders, so you get a full range of mixing to pureeing. the motors are potent and quality tested as well.
