Yes, to SD and/or a NAS.
Yes. I got the white one though which has more similar aspect ratio to the Nest it replaced.
Just checked and no longer seeing white one on Amazon

Had it wired to my old doorbell wires. My front door faces west directly into the sun. It was super easy to set up in both home assistant and Unifi Protect (if you want to do any of this, you also need to buy one of their hubs; cheapest one is ~$100). This thing didn't even make it 24 hours before the battery was completely dead. It shows that its charging via the doorbell wires, but the charge cannot keep up with the power needs apparently.
Spoke with Reolink customer service and their solution was basically to turn off all the features: PIR, event detection, remove it from home assistant and protect. At that point it basically becomes a normal doorbell for me. I did try to remove it from HA and Protect, recharged it via usb, then reconnected it to the doorbell wires, and it again died in less than a day.
I imagine the PoE one would work much better, but i cannot run PoE to the front door currently.
As a side note, their customer service dept has been a nightmare. I've been trying to return both items for 20+ days, and their CS dept seemed to be delaying as much as possible to get me past the 30 day return window. Finally, once i started a chargeback, I got it escalated and finally got concrete return info/terms.
I've been surprised by this whole experience because people seem to really sing Reolink's praises in the Home Assistant community.
I did try to put them in blue iris and there was too much delay for my taste. The Reolink dvr does the job just fine. Pulling up my cameras over a cellular connection is very quick. Compared to nest, ring etc.
