Sorry to crash the party but this is not a good deal and not a great product either.For a week or so, you could have gotten the better Kids Pro 8 with a full year of Kids! for the same price PLUS it included an echo kids with another full year of Kids! (but you have to not activate it for a year since Amazon is funny about subscription length.)

Some of may want the e-reader, not a full blown tablet for the kids.
Not a bad deal but nothing to write home about. In 2023 these went on sale AND they ran a BOGO on the Kindle Kids editions. So for $100, you could get two Kids Kindles.
In other words, Amazon typically throws much better promotions. But if your child has a birthday or something, these are great! And they come with a 2 year replacement guarantee along with an ad free experience. Even if you're an adult, you can purchase these and use them like any other Kindle while enjoying the perks.
