Yeah, what? Everything went flawless for me on the one unit I had. Just waiting a couple more weeks for the refund to show up, per their estimate.

I had no repair option for my unit, but they're sending a $480 refund for the unit that cost less new from Costco.

Name another AC company willing to even admit the problem, I've never had an AC that didn't get some kind of mold, and needing cleaning

Yea they just sent me a $450 pre-paid electronic credit card. You have no idea what you're taking about. Midea is probably the poster child of how companies should handle recalls and issues, they've been nothing short of flawless.

Didn't add a drain hole in a spot that caused some water to pool which -could- lead to mold. You could modify it yourself via a part they would send, or get a full refund if you "cut the power cord" and sent them a pic.

It only took 2 weeks to get the refund in the form of a pre-paid credit card.

stay away from them.

bought a remanufactured Portable A/C from them. missing accessories, instruction, remote control... in the box. contacted them to send me missing items and they told me to purchase it. they said they don't support remanufactured items. lol. took almost 1 month to get respond and missed return period.

their support is really sucks and don't support their products. don't buy.

Interesting you say that because I was just thinking about this. Only in the last 20 years, windows A/c units grow mold. When I was a kid, they NEVER did that. Fedders, toshiba, they never grew mold. Wonder what changed?

I opted (somewhat regrettably) to take the repair and haven't heard from them yet :/

I got the modes duo from Costco, it had awfully configured temp sensors. (Room would be 70f and it reads as 60f). Contacted company, full refund via check. Great company to work with, didn't even have to take it back to Costco.

My grandma still has a Toshiba AC from the 80's with the woodgrain finish and all, still blowing ice cold.
