Specs may be superior but apparently everyone's experience isn't.

This is the best no-stem design, I still use it from time to time after I got Buds3 Pro.
The volume control in labs setting is very creative, you may double tap anywhere that is not the touch surface to adjust the volume, I actually prefer this method to touch slide on the stem of Buds3 Pro.

i love this design. for me, this is the most comfortable ear fit. my only problem is that i've owned 3 pairs and its only a matter of time before one bud loses its loudness. i've tried regular cleanings, factory resets, etc. and no luck. now i keep them around in case samsung does a trade in credit. i would get them with an extended warranty next time. just my two cents

3p has superior drivers, voice commands, etc. Different shape, but the specs are superior.

Loudness is lost due to build up underneath grill, of debris, wax, etc. It can be fixed.

These are great buds. I also have the Buds 3 Pro and I like the voice control while working out.

Is this a good price for a model that is once removed from the latest one?

The form factor is definitely nice. However, they are not of great build quality. I had my first pair fail in less the year with moderate to light use, and the replacement pair have recently developed a low volume issue in the left bud. Poor quality considering the price point.

How easy is it to switch between devices? I know with my Buds Live I could just select the buds on a device and it would connect instantly without the need to pairing again.
