Short version: ridiculously good deal if you want a helmet-capable backpack. Definitely worth the price if you're on a tight budget or are making your first steps into motorcycle luggage and aren't really sure of what you want.

On the flip, saddlebags/panniers are a better option.

Positives:
- no sweaty back
- lower center of gravity (usually a bigger deal on bicycles/dirt bikes than heavier road bikes)
- easier if you have a passenger (especially if the 2nd person has a backpack, too)
- you can get panniers that easily convert into backpacks

Cons:
- panniers/saddlebags that convert to backpacks tend to be a lot more expensive
- depending on your exhaust system it can interfere with saddlebags (don't melt your stuff haha). Dirt motorcyclists looking to do a lot of single track or off-grid riding should be VERY picky about their loadout. Don't cheap out.

In my 20s, my motorcycle loadout tended to consist of a magnetic tank bag, backpack, and collapsible tail bag/duffel that could roll up into a tiny pouch. It all worked great, even the one time when a girl on the back decided we would go shopping at the mall and completely filled all luggage to the brim… that was a fun ride home, across LA, in rare fresh rain, on oily roads, riding a naked bike, dicing traffic, etc.

Older me with a better bank account rolls with panniers on both my bicycle and motorcycle (stable is currently empty on the latter this summer as I focus on cardio). If I was to do a motorcycle backpack again, I'd definitely spend the extra for one with a better chest strap (I think Fortnine did a video about that topic), but the price of whatever I chose would probably cost at least 3x as much as this deal.

And idea how practical this bag is for non-biking?

I see the helmet pocket as a way to store other bulky stuff. Jackets especially can be obnoxious to deal with when you aren't wearing them. Throwing them inside of a typical backpack fills up the bag quickly and makes it hard to get to anything else. Shoes, towels, stinky gym clothes, picnic blanket, are other quick ideas of things that could go in an outer pocket like this.

It will be excellent for everything you just mentioned. And you certainly can't beat the price.

I just got one anticipating that it will handle the situations and items you mentioned quite well! I think at 24.99 for a bag most pay $79 for and rate it 4.8 out of 5 star is worth the shot regardless!

This is mostly use with motorcycle helmet. For normal purposes, this cannot be used OR there may be other comparable or better bags. Is that correct?
