It's nice that this has 2 front panel usb ports (my case supports both as well as 2 usbc connectors).
Hrmm...I don't mind the price difference (could easily resell my mobo) but is it worth the mobo swap effort to upgrade to x870e? 🤔
I'm running a pair of Samsung 990 Pros and they are plenty fast. The 5070ti supports PCIE 5 but 4 is more than enough for it. Plus I'm forced to run the gpu vertical (clearance against glass side panel is tight) so I'm stuck with PCIE4 riser.
This upgrade would be mostly for more usb ports (front and rear) + wifi7, better components, white mobo (mostly), and cleaner heatsinks. Slight audio upgrade too.
I did not want a white mobo since everything else in my build is black, but that was a minor detail. The boot time of this board is a bit slower than the Gigabyte with the same components. The Gigabyte booted in about 12 seconds while this MSI board takes about 20 seconds, with the memory training off. But no more blue screens.
