how do you deal with sitting in the tiny economy seat for that amount of time though? I'd like to save money and get this deal but the thought of being in main cabin for that duration gives me anxiety.

I agree. I flew to Asian destinations a zillion times in the 1990s and after take-off, sat in the back of the jet for extra space (although more jet noise).

But now I have not gone overseas for about 15 years.

I have flown business class once, and that I would do again with a good ticket price.
