Amazon batteries are horrible. Not sure about the AAA's but half my double AA's I had only lasted a year before they were no longer usable. I tested each one with a battery tester when I got a red error light on my charger.

Thanks OP, I'm picking up a pack.
The Amazon Basics rechargeable batteries are sort of a weird product. As a rechargeable battery they're actually quite bad. I've had a pretty high number of these die over the years, especially the AAA.
So why am I picking up another pack? Well at this price, $0.67 a battery, these rechargeables are similar in price to an energizer or duracell single use alkaline.
I have twin toddlers, and we have lots of little toys that abuse batteries, getting left on totally discharging the battery, getting left outside etc. I rather put these cheap Amazon rechargeable batteries in their toys than proper enerloops that cost 3 times the price. I'd also rather use these than a $.50 duracell which they can kill in a day by not turning off their toys.
At $0.67, if I recharge the batteries 10 times before my kids kill them, I will consider that a decent success.
So in summary, these Amazon Basics Rechargeable batteries are not quality batteries, and are inferior to a quality eneloop. If you are planning to use batteries for years upon end, this is not the battery you're looking for. However if your use case is to use and abuse AAA batteries, and don't expect these to last years upon years and 100s of charges, then at $.67 a battery these may be good for you.

Not all of them are bad, but most are horrible. They use different manufactures for their products and at times they get good stuff, and other times, not good. Years ago, I had a few sets that were same/similar to eneloop. They have lasted well over 5 years, maybe close to 10 years at this point. The rest have been a mixed bag, with most being OK at best. The AAAs have consistently been better than the AAs. The Amazon AAs generally do not last a long time. Some go about a year before they degrade and stop taking a charge and ultimately get rejected by the chargers. Depending on use, that maybe still a good deal/use for you. I use low discharge nimh batteries in basically everything that takes them. I use the Amazon batteries outdoors and places that are wet or likely to be lost or stolen. The eneloops are still the best cells and I've had good luck with Energizer's LD NIMH cells. At one time I was buying "A/C Delco" branded AAs that have held up very well over the last 5+ years. As my kids have grown and more things come with internal lithium cells, I haven't needed these as much, but still have a box full of them charged and ready when needed.
The best deal for getting into these was always the Costco deal each year. Not sure they still do that .....
