This is the 2025 model for anyone interested. Reviews seem great except that it has TCL picture processing which is still unproven compared to Sony, Samsung and LG.
Chinese TV brands have absurdly high initial MSRPs to encourage you to clear out Last Year models instead during spring/summer, wait until Black Friday for the real price to drop another 50%.

agreed 💯. holding out for the 98" at this price around Black Friday, matching the previous generation 98 QM8 low. The 85 inch QM8 was just $1500 at Best Buy this past weekend, now back to $1700, but still a much better deal than this. It will be $1500 again before it sells out most likely.

didn't have to wait long, just bought the 98" for this price - Amazon or Best Buy. (BB includes wall mounting, & 12.5% points through "what's in your wallet" app
What the difference between mini led and OLED? I know mini led is budget version but how much of a drop of is there?
mini led is not necessarily budget tech. the flagship, absurdly expensive Sony Bravia 9 is mini LED. Typically OLED is better for dark rooms, perfect deep blacks, and perfect viewing angles. Mini led wins for brightness and HDR pop, and can also be had for a better price for a large size. I just bought the TCL QM8K today for $2999 with free wall mounting and 12.5% points. Decided to return the 83 inch LG G4 OLED that I got for around the same price after points and discounts because the 98 inch size beats the minor picture quality differences in my opinion. Used to be a massive picture quality difference, but the new mini Led TVs like the QM8K have narrowed the gap considerably. I was blown away seeing the prior model QM8 in Best Buy, and even the step down QM7K is fantastic at 98 inches for $2k. I previously had a 77 inch LG B2 OLED in my theater room, and the step up to 83 was underwhelming despite the massively improved picture quality of the G4.

Do you know if BB makes holes in the drywall and install there those wire management covers to neatly hide all the cables?

3k for a TCL.
Mini LED is better for rooms that are very bright, whereas OLED sharp colors and contrast. Mini LED is definitely not a budget version of OLED.
