FYI, this is recycled filament. Please read the disclaimer in the product description about color and print quality

This filament is made from recycled materials, not raw ones. Its color may not be as bright, but if used within six months, the printing quality will remain similar.
If you're worried your matte black filament won't be bright enough, look elsewhere.

Absolutely zero likelihood I'll use this in 6 months. And what happens if it sits? Anyone know what happens after 6 months?

If you got a good seal, maybe secondary sealing package too, should be good. Worse thing is heat/freezing cycling. Probably minimal effect on PLA but filament can break easier with most materials

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I use tons of recycled sunlu pla and PETG filament and it prints the exact same, I have some 2-3 years old now. The only thing is the color varies so if that matters it tends to be a more gray than true black

Those with ams who aware not to use cardboard spools - I've respooled it with the large contraption and I've also had success just ripping the sides off the cardboard and shoving in the plastic spool and sandwiching it together. I've also not had success and it seriously sucks hand spooling a mess up.

I've seen somebody wrapping electric tape around 2 edges of the spool. They said it helps, I personally didn't try this.

That works sometimes for me. Not always. Needs weight as well when thr spool gets low still to. Respooling or the python AMS upgrade have been the best bets for me.

An everyday deal for PLA is $9-$10. A slick deal is $9. $11 is _not_ a deal of any kind.

OP this is matte PLA. I have a Chrome extension and it hasn't been this price for a while. Also just because this deal isn't good enough for you, doesn't mean its not good enough for others.

Why don't you just print spool rims? They're like 5 grams for each side.

Just keep it sealed and away from UV light and you're fine.
