This makes it cheaper than the original AMS which is $319 right now. I keep holding out hope the original one will drop down to $250 or cheaper though.
Hopefully they'll refund me the $50. I really hate that they don't include the switching station AKA power brick with this unit considering most people who buy it separately have already bought the combo H2D. Not a bad deal considering it's better than pre-tariff cost

have a few hundred hours on ams2; having a 4 roll dryer without taking up any extra space; along with the simplified disassembly if you were to have a jam someday makes the 2 worth around $100 more than the original.
on hd2 i workhorse the ams2 as a dryer whenever im doing a single color print using the external spool - i get a warning that drying performance will be reduced during printing as i dont have a dedicated power supply; but as i usually do it overnight it works just fine
i thought the inability to dry filament while printing was an oversight at first; then i tried printing directly from a creality dryer during drying and had jams in my centauri. perhaps longer ptfe tubes would allow the filament to cool more - but i now understand why bambu doesn't set this up for printing hot filament

Think it's worth it to buy this now for the A1 software upgrade later this year? It's currently "not compatible" with the A1
Also, says the code is no longer valid
If you like to click a lot just to get to basic functions...at least that's how they butchered X1 firrmware. Just because of that I will not be switching to AMS2, I'd rather stay on old firmware.
Still says it will be compatible with the A1. Should I buy now on sale or just wait and hope they do it again during the holidays when it actually works with the A1....

I agree. I prefer OrcaSlicer and my A1 is working great on the older firmware. AMS2 seems like a pretty clever way to get people to update firmware and shut out 3rd party software.
