A Review claims this has no backlighting, and can't be seen at night/dark. Anyone have this? And does it really use 3 AA batteries?

There is only 1 review, and it's from vine free product customer. It's a promoted product. Take that review with a grain of salt.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Sarisin48

I have this and paid the same price for it. It is OK, but the two things I had problems with are:

1. The atomic clock function didn't work no matter what I tried. I finally just set the clock myself.

2. It is really hard to read the numbers unless you are directly in front of the clock.

I do wish it had some sort of backlighting, but I knew it didn't before I ordered the clock. I wouldn't recommend this clock to anyone.

That's even better that there is a criticism from a free product user. It's usually all praises but not this honest user. Not having a backlight so its difficult to see at night is a huge con in this sector.

Had a similar(original) one made by lacrosse, good for older folks, as it shows day date, time, temp at one glance, it's not backlit, nice big digits, the lacrosse use to come with a wireless out door temperature monitor

Will you please share the model number of the La Crosse clock you have?

I don't have experience with this particular clock but I've had a couple atomic clocks and it's tricky to get a signal sometimes indoors. It sorta defeats the purpose of the clock, but I'd take them outside and position them just right and they'd get an atomic signal from Denver I believe, immediately.

Yup. Although taking it to a west facing window is enough for me to get mine to work (not this model, but similar).
