That's normal for anything when you make it at home usually. Remember, you're paying for convenience and someone else making your food. Why should anyone expect to do the labor for free and just charge ingredients? What do they get out of it?

More like, I am paying for the convenience and the corporation/franchise is charging for the labor so that they have enough to pay off the corporate commission, a bit of profit so the franchise is able to stay afloat, and to give the employee their pittance.
