The four-spool version of the Creality SpacePi 3D printer filament dryer is available on the Creality Store for $151 with code PIX408, which takes an additional $8 off the sale price of $159.

The SpacePi X4 is a filament dryer that holds up to four spools at once, split into two chambers you can control separately. That means you can dry different materials like PLA and ABS at the same time, each at the right temperature. It's useful for multi-material setups like AMS or CFS that have no active dryer built in, or generally for reducing moisture-related issues like stringing, poor adhesion, or clogged nozzles
  • Holds 4 spools (4x 1kg, 2 kg spools might just fit)
  • Two chambers with independent temperature control (2 spools per chamber)
  • Heating range: 113°F to 185°F (45°C to 85°C)
  • Works with PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, PC, Nylon, PA-CF, PAHT, and others
  • Max spool size: 7.87 in diameter, 5.91 in wide
  • Touchscreen with presets and manual settings
  • Active humidity control and built-in desiccant regeneration
  • Filament feeds from the top or back
  • Automatic fan control

it depends on your workflow. the S4 is great but it's all in one chamber. The space pi has two compartments so you can dry different filaments at different temps for different durations. that's pretty much the biggest difference. other than that, you should think about your setup to see if your filament path works well with how the spools and outlets are oriented.

In that event stick with the cheaper one. Get some experience with your printer before making other accessories purchases.

as crazyheaven said, stick with the cheaper one if you already bought it. or better yet, cancel that order and get a single or dual spool dryer for even cheaper and takes up less space. if your daughter is only starting out, who knows if she or you will stick with it. get some experience and knowledge and you can always get a larger dryer in the future. these things will only get cheaper (and better).

Is there a dual spool version available on sale? Interested in this dryer to the higher temperatures this can go for engineering filaments compared to the sunlu.
