The smell from Arm and Hammer laundry detergent is so strong. It's like dumping cheap old lady perfume on your clothes. Even after a few washes, it's still there. If you like the smell or you lost your sense of smell from COVID, then this is your detergent. What I don't understand is that they could save some manufacturing costs just by laying off on the cheap smell and the product would be better.

I mean, the shipping cost is included in the price. If you're willing to pay $10 for detergent why can't you afford $25 more? If you can't, maybe detergent isn't in your budget.

Arm and Hammer is #2 according to Project Farm with cost ~ 1/3 of #1 (Tide). Just use half amount for color and 1/3 amount for white clothes if you don't have oil stains or heavy dirt on clothes.

Project Farm has testing on video. Specifically, the Oxi versions, clean much better. It placed second.

Keep in mind, even Tide has a budget line.... and it cleans awful by all testing I've seen. So we cant make blanket statements on one brand.

I am on an aerated septic tank. Arm & Hammer is one of the few brands recommended for it since it doesn't have the additives that clog up the system. Probably only applies to a very few however.
