Was thinking the same thing. It's like that "You're on Coke" ad. Just completely tone deaf.

3 things that have happened to me regarding Verizon over the last month:1) I received an email that stated if I trade in my phone or upgrade my data plan, I'd receive $1000 off a new phone. I went into the store, said I wanted the $1000 via upgrading my data plan, and the emoloyee stated he's able to give me the $1000 off for nothing; no trade in or plan upgrade required. Got a new Pixel 9 Pro XL for about $5 a month for 36 months. 2) Bought my young child the VeriGizmo 3 watch. WentWent into the store, told them what I wanted, and employee told me they were giving me the watch for free, I'd just have to pay the monthly fee of opening up a new line.3) Tried to transfer a smart watch from one line on my account to another. There is an option to do this online yourself with relative ease, but it was not working. Long story short, I spent almost an hour on the phone. They were all very professional and polite. At the end, they stated due to my long time customer status (19+ years), I would receive a discount of $25 off my bill for 12 months. Probably because I was on the phone for almost an hour, but whatever.I was shocked by three consecutive, positive experiences.
