I bought my Q Revo from previous eBay deal - same price, from the same official store.
When I tried to set it up for the first time, it gave me error 104. Unfortunately the power cable to main roller came unplugged, so I had to take the whole thing apart just to reconnect this cable. It works fine after that.
It also came with smelly water tanks.
A lot of troubles to set it up, but I am happy with it now.

Got the Q7 Max+ (white) from last deal, this is $30 less. Someone mentioned their white one was like new, so I ordered that instead of black and mine was too (ymmv).

Not using the mopping, but the mapping and vacuuming works great on tile, laminate, and a large rug. Has avoided and covered every inch. Really impressive from my first experience with a robot that had no app and random vacuuming. May order another at this price for lower level.

Can't seem to find a major difference between the Q7 and Q8. Is it just that the Q8 has a better sensor?

Anyone know the major difference between Q7 and Q8? Is it just that the Q8 has a better sensor? Is it worth the $70 difference?

I believe that Q7 has a single brush, whereas Q8 has Dual brushes.

The Q7 max+ has a passive mopping pad, so it just gets dragged along without being raised, so if you want to mop you have to do it separately from carpets. The q revo does lift the mopping pads, plus the pads spin on the q revo. If you want mopping, the q revo is well worth the extra cost.

Bought a Refurb Q Revo during the last sale. The item I received was non-functional (would not drain). Roborock clearly doesn't test these units prior to shipment. Not only did I have to jump through a ton of hoops to troubleshoot their defective product, but they wanted me to return the defective item for inspection before agreeing to send a replacement.

As I mentioned in my comment I'm not using the mopping pad. I didn't even attach it. Now I'm wondering if that's a bad thing.

I've been looking to replace my S5 Max upstairs so i may bite. I've bought three Roborocks over the years, two refurbished. Ironically, the one i bought new isn't working anymore but the refurb ones are holding up amazingly.

Which one would be the best for carpet only second floor (high carpet; obviously, no mopping needed)? I bought Qrevo Master for the first floor and was very impressed with it. Would like to get something less expensive (since it's supposed to be simpler) but equally good. Also, I'd prefer the one without camera. Thx!
