You started saying not to beat it, but you then proceeded to beat that equine harder and faster than anything I've seen at the Kentucky Derby
Not to beat a dead horse, but 256 gig ssd is small if you're doing anything other than browsing and light email/word processing.

There's little more annoying than being told you can't update the OS with the patch your Mac just downloaded b/c you don't have enough space… and now you're stuck with even less space on the ssd than usual b/c the downloaded update is still sitting around.

You gotta find the right tool for the job at the right price. It's not for everyone, but I know what the use case is and it works exceedingly well.
