Sure but it's overkill. Difficult to sand when dry and hard as rock. It's better for areas that will get wet and/or need to be tough

Durham's dry wood filler in the can works pretty well for me and you can mix it with water instead of it drying out in the tub. I think that's the better option for most of my use anyway.
